The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree programs in the
Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism prepare students for
professional leadership roles in a variety of non-profit and
commercial settings. The undergraduate program is accredited by the National Council on Accreditation for Park, Recreation and Leisure Services. In addition, the recreation therapy concentration meets eligibility requirements to take the national certification examination. Students entering the program of study should recognize that their progress will be closely monitored from an academic and professional perspective. It is the intent of the department and program for students who graduate to reflect professional knowledge and skills in order to be successful in their chosen field. Dr. Edward Udd Department Chair
